Child-birth is an enlightening and rewarding way to begin the journey of motherhood. Every woman has the right to choose the circumstances and the people who will surround and support her during the birth experience. I am a DONA-trained birth doula servicing the Kansas City and Northwest Missouri areas and I would be honored to support you as you become a mother.

What is my role as your Doula?

-To honor birth as a natural experience and recognize that your Body knows how to give birth.
-To assist in the creation of a birth plan that meets YOUR needs and desires, as well as those of your partner.
-To understand the birth process and meet your emotional needs while in labor.
-To stay by your side and support your medical choices as you express them throughout labor and birth.
-To provide comfort measures such as massage, essential oils, positioning, and hydro-therapy through-out labor.
-To encourage and offer support with initial breast-feeding.
